from the mind of pj...

So once again, I've slacked off on my recaps because work is tiring me out and once I get home, I would rather play with my PS2 or laptop. My apologies. It was crazy busy for me during the past 2 months! That's why I couldn't even go to Thailand with the rest of the guys! I wish I could have! Going on vacations with the guys is always fun (give or take a few bad moments during each trip). Mary Ann probably would have come along as well and it would have been her first time going to Thailand. But then again, she probably wouldn't have gotten her new job at Gap corporate. So in a way, it kinda works well for her not to have gone during that time.

What you might have missed between the last recap I did and this one was my birthday and the Thai All Stars' friend Jimmy's birthday for starters. Jimmy's bday celebration was at Club Milk over on Haight St. in the city and then we went to Osha Thai Cuisine for dinner @ 2am. Nice "early" dinner huh? lol It was cool and Jimmy was happy to have 3 tables filled with his friends (other than the guys that went to Thailand). As for my bday celebration, I had my dinner over at BJ's in Foster City. About 10 people showed up to help me bring in my 31st year on this planet. Of course other people were invited but some had other engagements so yeah... We headed to Club Blush minus some of the people that could only make it to dinner. I didn't want to drink too much cuz I had to work the next day so I tried to keep it light. Believe it or not, I didn't throw up and we all ended up going to Denny's over near my house for a late night snack. I had a good time and I hope all the people that showed up for my bday did too. Thank you for all the gifts from people (Jimmy - bestbuy gift card, Ryan - iTunes giftcard, Erich/Sylvia - garlic flavored macadamian nuts/Apple store giftcard, Andrew/Rey/Sue Ping - money). Mary Ann got me a video iPod which I pretty much cherish. =) Thanks haybe! The next day, I had to go to work for physical inventory. Yeah that sucked but I gotta make the money, ya know?

Let's see... what else happened? I've been snowboarding twice this year so far. We went to Kirkwood and Northstar. Northstar was off the hook. We had a superbowl party over at Todd's place and I brought my dad while Randy brought his parents to watch the game. It was a whatever's game. I didn't have any money on it. I shoulda bet on the Steelers though cuz I had a feeling they were going to win. The NBA All Star game just passed as well and it was a "whatevers" affair in my opinion. The Destiny's Child rendition of the National Anthem was off the hook and the player introductions were hella funny. The game itself was whatevers though. In the dunk contest, I predicted that Nate Robinson would win but I felt like he really didn't win right. Andre Iguodala basically got robbed. (Kinda like JRich did last year when he went against Fred Jones.) AI's dunk off the back of the glass was positively crazy! I don't care if Nate DID jump over Spud Webb... It's frickin' SPUD WEBB!!! It's not like he's 7' tall... or even 6' tall!!! It's frickin' SPUD WEBB!!! It's like jumping over ME! Like I said, "whatevers".

Anyways, what do I have to look forward to the following weeks? I'm going to Vegas this weekend with Randy and Trent. That should be cool. Other than that, I just got school and work to deal with... I'm out.

Once again, sorry for the late "1st recap of the 2006 year"! =P

Always,
PJ, the SUPREMELY disgruntled corporate retail store employee (I feel like that frog prince thing in that Simpson's Treehouse of Horrors Harry Potter episode - "please kill me. every moment that I live is pure agony."
